Passion is energy – TEDx talk at Institute of Space Technology, Pakistan

Being a Software Engineer, a computer programmer and at the same time being Artist, I was invited by Institute of Space Technology to speak about how to be creative, how to be inventive and how to make your hobby into a profitable business.

Major inspirations include Bonsai art, a few of my inventions during university, Mytabeeb, a healthcare app, where I learned to develop an app. The result was something really useful for people of Pakistan. Promoting Astronomy in Pakistan at a national level as a hobby and science along with my Software profession

Thoughts

It was my first ever speaking experience at TEDx. The theme selected by the organizers was Inventive Glint. The organizers at IST made a great effort to make this event a success. My mission was to inspire the students using very small success stories that they can relate with the student life. I am glad that I was able to give a motivational speaking session without any previous such experience. I like public speaking and I really enjoyed the time.

Abubaker Shekhani is an IT Entrepreneur and Full Stack Developer. He is the co-founder and the Developer behind Mytabeeb, a health care solution. He has worked for 5 years in Microsoft Dynamics AX space with Techno-functional role and glad to be one of few Microsoft Dynamics AX developers/consultants in Pakistan. He is TEDx speaker and likes to speak in public. He is an Amateur Astronomer and Astrophotographer. He is the founding member of Karachi Astronomers Society.
